b and i had the pleasure of trying soft serve fruit a few nights ago for dessert. i have actually had it before, but when soft serve fruit contacted me and asked if i’d like some cards for samples… of course i said yes! i already knew i liked it.
what is soft serve fruit?
>> it’s a healthified soft serve ice cream made of fruit, water, and organic cane sugar. it’s vegan and kosher. the small cup has less than 90 calories.
we were on the upper east side for some reason (new apartment stuff? i don’t remember), so we went to the location at east 78th st and 3rd ave. after tasting the banana, mango, and raspberry, we settled on a banana sundae…
topped with sliced almonds, crushed walnuts, and pomegranate seeds.
a few nights later (i think this must have been this past friday) we stopped by again, this time to the union square location on 17th street. we opted for a banana and pear mix (i am banana; b is pear).
topped with sliced almonds, crushed walnuts, pom seeds, and carob chips.
again, delicious! i do not like carob chips apparently, nor do i really like pom seeds. my taste buds have been off lately. i mostly ate the banana and the nuts, while b helped with the rest of it.
have you ever had soft serve fruit?
>> i really want to get this yonanas machine so i can make my own more easily. it’s on my list for when we move into our new place.
