today i woke up around 9, laid in bed for a while, then started work in the kitchen. this week b and i got an order from the fruit guys (i wanted to try them out; i want to join a csa but they don’t run in the winter) so i decided to use up that produce. we got (this was the “regional fruit & veggie”):
- 4 beets
- bunch of spinach
- yellow fingerling potatoes (a bunch of small ones)
- scallions
- mushrooms
- 4 apples (different kinds)
i made a frittata and a “breakfast bar”-type thing. i’ll post recipes separately. the delivery is free; the box was $26. it’s definitely overpriced but it was convenient. i’m not sure if i’ll order it again.
when those were finished i made coffee for b and tea for myself. we sat around chatting until 1pm when tickets for sasquatch went on sale (a big group of us are going). b bought the tickets and i did this quick and dirty body weight workout.
then it was off to yoga as usual (we’ve been going every saturday with some friends to the same yoga class). it’s a yin yang class, which means that it is a mix of long holds (yin) and fiery flow (yang). it’s 90 minutes and i love it. b and our friends enjoy it too. it’s such a fun tradition. we follow it up with a late lunch at whole foods.
we never got around to eating the frittata this morning so i think we’ll have it for dinner instead.
